Ok...Its getting serious now....the first day at school is terrifying me! What if they don't like me? We're just gonna have to be mental and genki all the time!!! Apparently Japanese high school students often just fall asleep during the lessons..and it isn't a problem..."why?" I hear you ask. Well apparently they get up at some ungodly hour like 6 am, go to sports club then go to school, where they fall asleep during the lessons if tired. Then they go to after school sports clubs, then home, dinner, then juku. Juku is night school where work is crammed and I guess what you miss during the day. Then they go home and do homework..and go to bed at like 2 am. Then they get up the next day to do the whole routine again!
How silly is that? well...different country different culture. I am learning more about the concept of the love hotel! apparently they aren't such seedy places and were actually originally developed for parents with lots of kids that wanted some down/private time. They are also cheaper than normal hotels...so...maybe its worth it? hehehehe
We felt our first little earthquake today! the room shook a bit...our trainer was totally unfazed...I guess you get used to it!
After training we went to Shibuya! Which is the cool area where all the funky young people hang out looking like Manga characters or overly styled girls! (Its also the place with the massive zebra crossing section where apparently 2000 people cross it at one time). Watch "lost in translation" to get what I mean!
We then went for a meal in.......(insert name which I've forgotten here), with traditional slidy doors and low tables and amazing food!!!!

was the earthquake godzilla?
Don't worry too much about the teaching! (If I can do it you can!). The mindset you need to get into is that of an actor! When you go into the classroom you become (or need to become) a different person. Me in the classroom is totally different to the me you know (but I think that you know that from chats we've had before!).
Take care
