I was told to start a blog, thinking it would be a silly idea...but was then told again today by the trainer that it would be a good idea! So here goes...
Japan!!!! the second day!!! After having gone to bed at 8pm for the first time in years, I realised that that was stupid...waking up at 1am, then 2am, then 3 am...you can see a pattern emerging here I am sure. By 5ish am I got bored of trying to sleep and went online, where I was promptly asked why I wasn't in bed.
8.30 am meeting in the lobby with the other ALT people. Then training till 5. It was great actually, our trainer is this amazingly genki american who has horror/funny stories of every possible situation that could occur to us while here. I am starting to worry about the amount of insulting I will be doing, by forgetting some sort of etiquette rule!!! And I was right...Japan really isn't the place to look for hugs!!!!
We then went off to electric city, which was awesome!!! lots of funky ipods, and amazing digital cameras and phones, amongst weird horse simulating riding equipment....
We also got covered in flyers by a row of kawaii girls in maid outfits....it was a little disturbing...
On the way back we ended up in the all women's carriage of the train - yes they have all women's carriages because apparently groping is a big issue over here. But we were told that if someone gropes us, we may (if able) restrain them and cart them off to the next train station officer, where they will make the groper pay the gropee a bribe to not sue them. HA! I guess its a good way to earn extra cash!!!
I need to go and buy buttons and undergarments..my shirts (which I thought to be conservative) still show too much frontage...so I need to re- sew all of that...tsssk.

Ace nice pictures, are you not gonna get bored of eating rice and noodles? I'll send you some findus crispy pancakes and fish and chips in the post :P
Glad you finally decided to do the blog! (And that I get a mention twice, if not by name! lol)
Pictures look good and what with your martial arts, might be worth braving the mixed carriages to get that extra cash! lol.
Take care and have a good day 3!
Look forward to hearing more. Glad you arrived safely. Love Gx
